Which is the best way to go to Honolulu?

A cruise is several days. You'd be better off taking the plane and spending your time in Hawaii rather than staring at the ocean. Cruises are generally better suited to those who are older and want to spend the bulk of their time in activities on the ship, with small day excursions to various stops. If you've got the time and money for a cruise, it would be better spent in Hawaii spending more time hopping around the islands instead (by plane).
