Im 16, and I want a job?

Some places you simply go in and ask for an application and some places you call for an appointment and you take them your resume. Call and find out what their procedures are. Be sure to answer everything very truthfully and be very neat. Always remember when you are out looking for a job, look the job over and be sure you want it. And if you decide on one job and another calls you...simply say you've been hired by someone else but thank you for considering me. If they were too slow...it's their problem. Never burn bridges for the person you piss off today may show up again in some significant place down the road and always leave a job in good graces. You also don't want to apply somewhere and then wait and wait while other jobs go by while a company makes up their mind...and they may never tell you they've hired someone else. Just play your cards so that you have choices and don't be afraid to turn down a job or tell them you've been hired by someone else. If you have a certain job your really want...apply for it way before the others so they will call back first. Also remember to get the name of the person that interviews you. If you haven't heard from them in a reasonable amount of time, it's ok to call that person and ask if you are being considered for that job or has it been filled. I might phrase it better tho....but it never hurts to let the interviewer know that you are really interested in the job. Also job interviews require experience to come out with what you want. Try a few for practice. And don't be afraid to ask for what you want. They can only tell you no. An interview is a time to barter after you both decide that you are the one for the job.
