Are the any affordable places to live in the Honolulu area?

Aloha! Due to a training opportunity I'll take part in, I'm going to have to move to Oahu in maybe late August, early September, and I'm very worried about a place to live. The area where I'll be headed is very close to Kopialani Community College in the Kaimuki area. Are there affordable apartments in the area that you could recommend?
