Nice condos/apartments near UofHawaii Manoa and Hawaii Pacific U?

Hi everyone, I have made the decision to transfer college to Hawaii. I was wondering if anyone knows any decent,nice,safe condos or apartments near these campuses? My price range would be like 800-1200 dollars. I know everything is expensive there, I grew up there as a child. I just would like somewhere decent I would love to have a lanai or balcony and to be close to the school I'm not sure which one I will choose to go to. I do have a vehicle so if its not walking distance to campus thats fine too I just don't want to be living in like nanakuli having to drive to honolulu for class. So the closer the better.
