What kind of emergency would a client have that they would need to meet with their accountant?

Serious question: I am supposed to meet with an accountant on Monday. He just sent an email saying that "a client has an emergency and I need to meet with him then [at my appointment time]." What kind of an emergency (at this time of the year) could someone have that they would need to meet their accountant this coming Monday?
